Real-Time Gamma Mapping: What Does It Show?
Real-time gamma mapping updates a structure view as new market information arrives. It helps compare a moving price with changing exposure, while preserving the timestamp and data-scope limits of each update.
What changes in a live map
A live structure view may update price context, activity, estimated exposure, and the relationship between reference zones. Because different fields refresh on different schedules, every displayed value needs a timestamp and a stated scope.
How to read updates
Read the session state first, then compare the newest map with the prior context. Separate a change in price from a change in positioning, and check whether the update is a durable shift or a temporary observation.
- Check the last update time and market phase.
- Compare more than one update before describing a shift.
- Keep the pre-market or replay context separate from live data.
Why live data still has limits
A real-time map can be delayed, incomplete, or model-dependent. It describes the information available at an update time; it cannot know future positioning, future news, or an individual user's risk constraints.
